Ouija Board or Run? Tarot cards or Walk?

Back when I was a child, I remember vividly the use of a Ouija board with my friends. It was a horrific experience, one that I will never forget! We all sat around the fire in my friends family room and began to play with the Ouija board and placed our fingers on the triangle piece that went over the letters. I don't recall what this piece is called. Anyways, we asked questions, receieved answers then the cycle went on for a while more. Towards the end, some of the girls stopped playing and the ones that remained asked more in depth questions. I don't recall the questions, just ones that children would ask. Am I going to get married, will I ever have kids, yada yada yada. Well the triangle piece decided it was done answering our questions and began to spell out things that didnt make sense to us. Now that I look back on it, Im sure that it was a foreign language, something unfamiliar to us.

As we sat there in awe that this triangle piece was spelling out things on its own, and we werent even moving it at this time...I felt this really uneasy feeling. The air changed temperature and it felt like it dropped about 30 degrees. We all began to get a little freaked out, and scared. Things were happening around us that I couldnt explain. Wind was swooshing by us, but no windows or doors had been opened. It felt as if things were crawling on my skin. I felt like I was suffocating. It was getting harder and harder to breathe.

Then it started happening to the others. Some were coughing. Some were crying. Some were just sitting as still as a statue - in a state of fear! We then decided that we had to stop whatever was happening. We threw the Ouija board in the burning fireplace! What happened next is the honest truth and it still haunts me in my dreams almost monthly!

We threw the board and triangle piece in the fire...then seconds later...it came flying back out and the flames went into what we saw as demon faces. There was screams and growls, and all kinds of freaky noises. It freaked me out! I ran out of that house as fast as I could and ran all the way home to my parents house...crying and screaming.

So, my question is this...What have been your experiences with a Ouija board? I want to know if you have had experiences with it as well.

I have been contemplating the idea of using a Ouija board again and see if the experience is the same, but Im afraid to open that can of worms!!

Another one bites the dust....

So its another training day for us newbies! It's a potluck "taco" meeting to learn the ropes of how Preliminary Screenings go! The Senior Investigators got into the roles of the clients, and had a little too much fun with us newbies! It was a great learning experience!

We came across the "Obsessed with the Paranormal" Housewife and her non believing husband, and had to figure out if we would actually take the case or not, which I chose to take it, only for the facts that there actually was proof that paranormal activity was indeed taking place - even though the client was obsessed with anything paranormal - the senior investigators did an amazing job role playing this one out for us!

Then off to the next home... the Schizophrenic Mom and her illicit drug using son! Preliminary questions were asked and I could sense the body language of the mom, that something just wasnt right. The moms and the sons answers led me to believe that there were some definite mental imbalances within the home, and also drug use was taking place, and that I wouldn't take the case. Wierd! The Senior Investigators did a great job!!

Next up was the somewhat normal family that just needed the comfort of knowing that they aren't crazy for thinking and feeling the paranormal activity that was taking place within their home. A lot of laughter was happening between the members of the household, but I didn't see anything "off" that would keep me from going through with the investigation. Good, normal home, and nothing out of the ordinary, other than the possibility of paranormal activity taking place! Good job senior investigators...good training for us newbies!

Then the final house for the prelims! Right off the bat when walking in...we are frightened by the reaction from the person in the home...asking us who we are, what we want, why we are here. A little hostility, and just creepy feelings as to get out NOW! Then walks in another person in the house...clearly not stable, clearly on some sort of drugs, or just mentally not all there...in our faces...flipping out because we are "investigators" of some sort and that someone police figure must have called us out to the residence! UMMM...partner...its time to bail! Come up with something that will get us safely out of the house...and back to the comforts and safety of our vehicle, and definitely NOT take the case! WHEH!! Made it out of there safely!! Great acting jobs...senior investigators!!

So all in all, it was a great training day! 4 different scenarios of some of the residences that we may come across and ways to handle them! Thankfully we won't be going out on any prelims alone and will always be with at least one senior investigator! Its was fun, and I enjoyed it. The group is so excited to teach us newbies the tricks of the trade and are always around to answer questions, and best of all....treat us as part of the team, in such a short time!!

A day in the life...

Today is the newbie's first Investigations Training! Im super excited, even more excited that the training will be at my house. It can't get much better and more comfortable to do a training and an actual investigation all at once, from the comforts of your own home! We have had some paranormal activity...paintings being continuously moved at an angle, pictures coming down off the mirrors, footsteps being heard in the attic and upstairs, multiple orbs in photos through the years, voices being heard when no one else is home, music being played in the faint distance and no music ever being on, the feelings of being followed up and down the stairs, the feeling of being watched, and unusually cold spots, and just an uneasy feeling of creepiness in one of the bedrooms.

So we go through the preliminary screening and answer all the investigators questions, then the investigation begins. I was part of the EVP, Photography, and Dowsing team on this investigation. I loved every minute of it. Took photo after photo, capturing tons of orbs and even a few "orbs in motion" which I never really payed attention to in photos before, so that was all new to me! Went through my first live EVP session as well, and experienced a few chills, and cold air passing by me as if someone had just walked in front of me. Also never really thought that you could you dowsing rods to communicate with the spirit realm...interesting to say the least!

As I walked through the house, capturing photo after photo, I was listening to the Debunkers work, answered questions here and there. Then as I walked into the room where the sensitives were at, I had even more questions to answer. It felt good to know that they had the sense of being watched as well, and felt the creepiness to the same spots that we all feel it since we live in the house. It was amazing to me to find that the sensitives picked up on heart and lung issues in several of the rooms of the house. My best friend Jesse died a few years ago from heart and lung issues and I know that his spirit hangs out in my house, and all around me. So it was great to have other people feel his spirit as well.

One part of the team found that a few of the stairs were warped and that there were a high amount of EMF bleeds on the stairs which could lead those in the house to feel as if there was something paranormal going on within the staircase. Great! So all those days that my teenage daughter complained of a headache and nasuea ...really could be true? Hmmm, guess its time to call out the electricians to check out the EMF bleeds from the switch on the wall.

The overall findings were that there is definite paranormal activity taking place, however nothing to be frightened about. The case review is still in the works, and I will update the findings when we get back the official word.

Through the night we learned about Dowsing, EVP's, Photography, Debunking, and how the sensitive aspects work in an investigation. It was a great night of learning, and also a great night of investigating.

There is a ton of work that is involved in an investigation! Everyone's roll in an investigation is so important. Im amazed at how well everyone works together! This is an AMAZING team to be a part of! Its not nearly like it is on all those "ghost hunters/paranormal" tv shows! There isn't creepy, eerie sounds lurking around the corners, and no one being chased by ghosts....just a lot of investigating and documenting. Its extremely interesting and fun though!

I am very glad to be a part of the API family. I have so much to learn from so many of them! This is going to be a great addition to my life :-)

Canvas is Changing...

I am just sitting here, the faint sound of wind whispering through the open window, the seconds ticking by on the clock, my cat sprawled lazily across the back of my chair. I can smell the sweet aroma of burning candles, feel the cool breeze tickling my cheeks and shoulders, brushing my hair along my back. The evening is quiet, crisp, mischievious, blanketing my home whilst the warm hues of gold lighten up the room where candles flicker restlessly.

I am in thought mode - the mood which sparks within you ideas and hopes, dreams and notions that only emerge when you feel at peace with yourself, and with everything around you. In this moment, I may talk aimlessly; no mission, no sense of direction, nor with a plausible ending. However it's at these times where the depth of my hidden emotions kalaeidoscope into whatever they may be. So take a moment to relax, read and to just feel me - wherever I may lead you.

I recently had the opportunity to join a non-profit paranormal investigations group - API. A friend of mine has been a part of the group for several years now, and has talked to me about it on numerous occasions. I had been waiting to join the group for a little over a year! I have always had interest in everything paranormal, and was beyond excited when the email came through that they were accepting new people to join their group!

What I love the most about API, is that it is a non-profit organization and that they are soley in this to help those people and families find peace from the paranormal world they are living in. API never asks for money for doing investigations, they raise money by donations and fundraisers! Thats amazing! API is in it to HELP others. To answer questions, to let people know that they aren't crazy, and most of all to be a listening ear to those people and families that are in fear of the unknown!

I am blessed to be a part of the API group, and absolutely love all the people in it. I believe that we will be building unique bonds and some lifelong friendships!

Life is a journey, a journey that takes us down many roads. Some good and some not so good. But as we travel we learn, grow, and meet people that make those journeys all worth the travel. Those kind of people in a way are like Angels. With them we find comfort in the arms of our Angels. Friends come and go, and from each one we learn more about our selves. We see our weakness and strengths from the eyes of another. But the ones that stay and imprint our hearts are the ones we keep close and safe within, like an Angel. And there we find comfort in the arms of our Angels.

So follow as my days progress into months, and my months progress into years! Follow me on my journey of the paranormal...through my eyes...

Just random thoughts escaping my mind to my fingertips.. Sometimes in life you realize where you have been and where you are going....these are my thoughts....this is the canvas changing.
